In 2014, Robert founded Clean Conduit Inc., a business and engineering consulting firm, which has gained the respect of the commercial, municipal, and industrial business and engineering community. He has participated in a variety of projects and initiatives acting as owner’s representative, project manager, construction site representative, procurement specialist, domestic and international sales agent, as well as other roles alongside Canadian, US and European leaders in innovation.
As Director of Partnerships with the Advanced Energy Centre at MaRS Discovery District, Robert acted as liaison to the Ministry of Energy and was an advocate for the adoption of innovative technology in the domestic and international electricity sectors.
As VP, Engineering at N-Viro Systems Canada LP (acquired by Walker Industries Holdings Ltd.), Robert played an instrumental role alongside a consortium of professional service providers to secure and deliver a $65M D-B-F-O-M municipal infrastructure project requisitioned by the City of Sudbury. The project carried an NPV of $110M over the term of the operating contract. It was completed on time and on budget and was awarded the Chuck Wills Award for Innovation and Excellence for Public-Private Partnerships. Robert also led the retrofit of an organic waste processing facility for which the Town of Banff qualified as a finalist to receive the prestigious 2014 Globe Award for Excellence in Urban Sustainability.

At Autosystems Manufacturing (acquired by Magna International), Robert held a dual role as account manager to General Motors (Dearborn, MI) and project manager to Visteon Automotive Systems (formerly Ford Motor Company). He assisted with delivery of lighting components for the first Ford Focus and Mazda Tribute sport utility vehicles. As part of this work, he identified a manufacturing deficiency which lead to significant, ongoing cost savings and improved product quality once it was resolved plantwide.
Robert is a licensed professional engineer who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, mechanical engineering, from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He also holds a Certificate of Authorization issued by Professional Engineers Ontario.
